The global smartphone market is becoming quite crowded. Companies such as HTC, Samsung and Nokia have set the bar high with their latest releases and the following will no doubt be just as impressive. The worldly brand of Apple is now squarely on the radar screen and every loyalist is watching closely for the next release. The firm has its work cut out for it with so many competitors setting the bar higher and higher. The iPhone 6 is rumored to be previewed later this summer with all ears primed for the news. Smartphones overall are constantly morphing into devices which are changing the way we conduct our daily lives and personal connections. The safest and most effective way to ensure their sustainability is to purchase gadget insurance moments after selecting the gadget itself.

Tim Cook, Apple CEO, has been dropping hints that the high tech giant is brewing up some special items for us to be wowed by. He commented on the new items saying the firm was “hard at work on some amazing new hardware, software and services that we can’t wait to introduce this fall and throughout 2014 in exciting new product categories.”

Recalling the days of the iPad and iPhone releases shows us that there could be several special new items coming from Apple, although it might take several years for them to all hit the shelves for the general public to purchase.

Ashish Panjabi, with Jacky’s Group, offered estimations of what he thought was coming down the pike from Apple, saying: “Apple will most likely respond with a new iPhone this year.”

Panjabi added: “Samsung hasn’t been benchmarking the Galaxy S4 against the iPhone 5 as they know this isn’t going to be Apple’s flagship device this year. Rather whatever next iPhone comes from Apple will be the product that will be benchmarked against the Galaxy S4 so the ball is now in Apple’s court to come back and make us go WOW!”

Apple has been challenged mostly by Samsung, who overtook the throne as king of the smartphones last year with the Galaxy line of mobile phones. The first quarter of this year saw market share fall decidedly to one company, Samsung, by a more than convincing 32.4%.

Apple loyalists may have to be patient with new items from Apple, as we have seen up to now.

Panjabi commented on the method of releasing products Apple has displayed in the past, saying: “If you look at it, the iPad was actually in development before the iPhone but came out three to four years later. In fact looking at Apple’s track record, every major innovation came out with a gap of a couple of years.”

Investing in a smartphone now which matches the needs of the user takes time and significant research. With so many choices on the market, once a decision is made it deserves solid gadget cover. Gadget insurance is affordable and takes peace of mind with our gadgets to a new and higher level. Don’t take a chance and be left without the protection of gadget insurance.–
