The latest news from Samsung Electronics Company has revealed that a new version of one of their highly regarded Android tablets will use an Intel Corp processor. In addition to the switch in their chipmaker there was also an announcement that Samsung will be introducing two new tablets. The new tablets are an 8 inch tablet and the Galaxy Tab 3 which is a 10.1 inch tablet.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 is in direct competition with the iPad from Apple. The new tablet will be powered by a 1.6-GHz dual core processor from Intel. The android tablet will run on the latest OS from Google. The screen will have 1280×800 resolution and will support both 3G and 4G networks. Retail pricing was not offered but the release of the tablet globally is promised for this month.
