Oculus Rift – CES 2016 Announcement
This week a global consumer electronics show, CES 2016, has been showcasing what to expect from tech in 2016 including the Oculus Rift. As avid readers of the Gadget Cover Blog you will already know that we are rather excited about the prospect of Virtual Reality (VR) and the impact that it could have within the Gaming and Entertainment world.
Oculus Rift, the Facebook-owned company has emerged as the front runner in VR, with a number of exclusive games and experiences on the horizon. It was the talk of CES 2016 following on from the announcement that you can now pre-order the Flagship headset for $599.

There was split on Social Media, a lot of people expressed their delight on Social Media and some people expressed disappointment at the price of the headset especially as final headset specs haven’t been announced and you need a compatible computer (you can download software to check compatibility before you order.) If you haven’t got a compatible computer, it might be quite pricey to obtain one.

Taking price out of the equation, we are looking forward to seeing how VR and the Oculus Rift evolve, its another step in the gaming evolution. It will be very interesting to see whether it is a fad or here to stay.
